It’s that time of year! Time for a garden!!! We rely heavily on the food we harvest from our garden during the summer, and also throughout the rest of the year by what we are able to can and freeze! But to reap that harvest, it takes some planning and preparation. To which… I will admit, we are not very good at! HA Now, we do start some of our seeds in trays; however, the majority of our seeds are started right in the spot they will grow in the garden! Which can be HARD to keep track of sometimes!!! Especially when my husband plants some… then I plant some… then we just have a mixed up mess of what has been planted where. LOL! So, this year, to nip that in the bud, I decided to do a fun little activity with our boy that not only would alleviate much confusion, but also add some beautiful artwork to our garden– DIY Recycled Garden Markers! Remember I mentioned we do some canning along the way… well, that leads to many used canning lids! In search of “garden marker” ideas, I ran across this idea and just HAD to make some of our own! So, we made our way outside one day with our painting supplies and enjoyed a beautiful Spring day creating these awesome garden markers!!!
